PROM Time: This Saturday, May 4, 2024 the Junior class is hosting Prom. The doors will open @ 6:00 pm, Grand March Line Up @ 6:45 and Grand March @ 7:00.

Don't forget the Open House going on at the School today. From 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm! Come by and see all the projects and learning that has been going on this year at our school.

Reminder about the Open House on Friday (April 26th) from 12-4 pm. Classroom projects will be on display including wood and metal shop, art, some green house projects and business math house models. Plus the Holocaust Exhibit will be open on the stage. Stop by and visit with the teachers and see all the projects the students have completed.

FFA held it annual Auction last week. All 31 members were sold at the Kaycee FFA Work Auction. They will work an 8 hour day. The majority were bought by local ranchers to help them with branding, docking and fixing fences. Justin Mayfield was the auctioneer. A free chili supper was provided by the FFA. This was a huge fundraiser for the chapter and the support from the community was outstanding. This auction is held about the same time every year so if you was unable to attend this year, mark your calendar for next year.

The State Art Symposium took place last week in Casper. We had 21 students participate with entries. Kate Maxwell, Kasey Pryor, Kale Pryor, Denise Ortega, Alaina Davis, Damien Cohee, and Payton LeDoux were the Kaycee HS school State Art Symposium winners. Kate, Kale, Denise, and Payton all won 2 ribbons each. Alaina Davis ribboned and won the prestigious First Lady Award. Also Denise, Payton, and Kale are our first ever state champs in the Pictionary tournament!. Stop by on May 2nd for the Art Auction & Music Extravaganza Soup Supper to check out and bid on some of the art. The pictures are just a taste on what will be show and/or for sale.

WYTOPP Breakfast: Just a reminder that tomorrow the cafeteria will be serving a WYTOPP Breakfast free to all students. On the menu will be Eggs, Sausage, Biscuits and Gravy, Fruit, Juice/Milk.

The Kaycee FFA was able to attend the State FFA Convention last week in Cheyenne. Teams competed in Environmental and Natural Resource, Livestock Judging, Ag Mechanics, Horse Judging and Poultry Judging. They also attended a personal tour of the State Capital with Senator Cooper from Washakie County. We had 3 earn their State FFA degrees, Congratulations to Curtis Taylor, Casey LeDoux and Charlie Ramirez. Visit the Kaycee FFA Facebook page for more details and pictures of the Convention.

Senior Portfolios: We have the Senior Portfolios in the Office for anyone that may wish to view them for scholarships. Please give the office a call if you are interested in viewing.

The art class has an Art show at the Public Library today and tomorrow. If you haven't made it down to see all the art work, you should do so. We have some very talented students.

Kaycee had 4 teams compete in the State DI Competition on April 6th in Casper. The youngest team, The KaySea Creatures preformed very well for their first competition. The team members were Darcy Anderson, Gracy Alger, Kyle Curtis and Kinsley Curtis. The AC Arts team of Avery Hornsby and Carlin Gardner placed 4th in the Elementary Level Fine Arts. The BEEst Busters team members Joe Brock, Rowdy Barry, Dylan Schmitt, Layten Cooper, Bridger Richendifer and Beau Perry placed 1st in the Elementary Level Engineering. The Wait What??? team, consisting of Ember Perry, Rhya Horton, Teven Pavey and Trevore Pavey, placed 2nd in the Middle Level Technical . The BEEst Busters and Wait What??? have been invited to represent Wyoming at Global competition in Kansas City, Missouri May 22nd-25th.

Important Menu Change for April 11, 2024.. We will be serving Blueberry Muffins tomorrow for Breakfast instead of the Banana Bread.

Parents of graduating seniors, please have your future graduate complete the Google form and submit a senior picture using the scan code so that they will appear in the Buffalo Bulletin Senior Keepsake Edition. Deadline is April 19, 2024.

Employee of the Month for March is Karen Zezas! If you see her out and about please congratulate her on all she does to make our school extraordinary.
