Kaycee - Just a reminder that tomorrow night (Tuesday, 17th), there will be a Middle School awards ceremony for middle school students at 5:30. Following the ceremony, there will be a meeting for those wanting to play High School football next year in Mr. Koch's classroom to discuss camps for the summer and the season next fall.

With the end of the year fast approaching I wanted to remind everyone of this coming weeks activities calendar. Monday, May 16th - Incentive Trip HS & MS Tuesday May 17th - 3rd & 4th grade field trip to Casper, 2nd grade field trip to Hanson Ranch, MS Awards @ 5:30 Wednesday, May 18th - K, 1st & 2nd grade field trip to Casper Thursday, May 19th - Elementary Track and Field Day, JH Dance @ 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, HS State Track Meet in Casper Friday, May 19th - LAST Focus Friday, Elementary Last day of Swimming, HS State Track Meet in Casper It will be a Busy Busy Week!

Correction to Incentive slip. If you DO NOT want your child to participate in the movie, sign the slip and return to the school.

May 16th is Incentive Day!! There will fun activities at the school for the students to participate in that morning with an Offsite trip in the afternoon to Buffalo. The students have to qualify in Eligibility, Attendance and Behavior to be able to attend the offsite part of the day. Menu change for May 11, 2022 (tomorrow): The cafeteria will be serving Spaghetti w/ Meat Sauce, Garlic toast instead of Turkey & Cheese Subs tomorrow.

Just a reminder that tonight there will be an Elementary Literacy Math Night at the school from 4 to 5 in the Commons.

Kaycee - Any young man who plans on playing high school basketball next season please meet in Mr. Koch's room tomorrow (Tuesday, 3rd) at 4pm to discuss upcoming camp(s) for the summer. It will be quick for those needing to get to track practice.

Kaycee - Any student interested in playing High School football this upcoming season and desires to go to camps this summer, please meet in Mr. Koch's room right after school this Wednesday (5/4) to discuss fundraising options. It will start at 4pm and be very quick for those needing to make track practice on time.

Reminder tonight is the Coffee Shop/Art Show @ 7:00 in the Commons. Come listen to the Kids that just won 4 Superior and 1 Excellent in the NE District Music Festival earlier today! Also come check out the Art Exhibit Show. These kids took a lot of 1st Place awards at the Art Symposium in Casper last week.

Reminder that the Seniors are excused from School tomorrow because of testing. Also the Juniors will be excused as soon as they are finished with the ACT test.

Don't forget the TAC One Training tonight for Parents at 6:30 at the School. Come get information on what the students learned today.

Lunch Menu change: Next Monday, April 25 the Cafeteria will be serving Chicken Taco's, Tater Totes and Fruit that was scheduled for Tuesday, April 26th. The Dutch Waffle, Yogurt, Tri-Taters and peaches that was scheduled for Monday will now be serviced on Tuesday.

Friday Swimming will begin the Friday. The busses will be running the normal routes for pick up to the school, then the kids will get on the bus to Buffalo. They are planning on being back to the school by 12:00, then the buses will run the normal routes again to drop students off at home. Remember to bring your swimsuit, towel, bag for wet things, jacket for park and a bag to carry everything in.

Tac One: Don't forget the TAC One Parent night! Tomorrow, April 21st, at 6:30 - 8:00 at the School. This will be an informative meeting with the TAC One personnel going over the program which they are teaching in the schools.

Kaycee - Today's meeting after school for our high school football players/fundraising has been cancelled until further notice. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Kaycee - For any HS student interested in playing football next year, there will be a very short meeting after school tomorrow (4/20) in Mr. Koch's classroom giving information on camps this summer and how to fundraise for those camps. 10 minutes at most for the meeting.

Breaking News: Due to the cold weather the Track Meet that was scheduled for Tomorrow, Friday, April 15th has been Canceled.

Reminder: Students must have permission to participate in the upcoming TacOne training on 4/21/2022. I sent a permission slip out on Monday https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Tl9RgRaM3ddkZXCQ2AWShIxfDOz4ymD9/view?usp=sharing. Please have that signed and returned at your earliest convenience. If you are unable to return the waiver, an email to clong@jcsd1.us or a phone call to the office at (307)738-2323 giving your child permission will suffice. Students will NOT be allowed to participate without parent permission. Thank you for your help with this.
