In preparation for the State Marching Band competition in October, the BHS held their Band Showcase tonight. Due to the weather, it was held in the gym.
During the event, the band performed and took time to teach their audience to march. Best wishes to our band as they continue to refine their performance!

The results are in from the State Golf Championships and we are excited to share that Addison Bettinger was the State Champion for the girls, Bryson Kolb finished seventh for the boys, and the boys team wrapped up a third place finish. Congratulations to the golf teams and their coaches Tim Marton and Leigh Ann Schimmel!
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. The Lady Bison Volleyball team has celebrated this night for lots of years and over the last couple, it is become a joint effort with the fall activities at BHS. This year, the Johnson County Healthcare Center has joined us as well.

The junior class had the opportunity to attend WOA Career and College Planning Days. It's never too early to be thinking about future endeavors!
Seniors volunteered to act out a social gathering, a car accident, and a trial to share the impact of choices for the sophomore and junior students of BHS.
Reminder this is a SKIT. Peer pressure and drinking and driving have severe consequences.
Kudos to these students in the Class of 2026. They volunteered multiple hours to create an impactful skit, crash scene, and trial to show the effects of peer pressure and drinking and driving.

Buffalo High School would like to express sincere appreciation to these two ladies. Lisa Norman and Kate Harness worked many hours to rally our community together to bring our students an impactful day of the Right Road. Thank you to all the community donors who financially supported this endeavor as well. Thank you, Lisa and Kate!
The Right Road returned to BHS this week. Sophomores and Juniors had the opportunity to participate in workshops on Internet safety, drug awareness, healthy relationships, impaired driving, safety belt safety, fire and medical services, and mental wellness.
