Here is the adjusted schedule to accommodate our Black out Week Assembly on February 4th.

Attention Bison--if you are doing spring sports, the meeting for athletes & parents will be on Monday, March 2nd at 6:00 pm in the BHS auditorium.

Our senior girls shared their Girls State experiences with the junior classes. They shared about the leadership development, confidence, and real-world learning experiences they got to participate in. Thank you, ladies, for encouraging future Girls or Boys State participants!

Congratulations to the Buffalo High School students selected for National Honor Society! These students were chosen based on the four pillars of NHS—Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Scholarship. We are proud of your hard work and commitment to excellence.

Congratulations to the Lady Bison Cheer Team for their third place finish in the State Stunt Championships. The team also finished sixth in the Game Day Championships. Congratulations also to Head Coach Kassahn Mathson and to Tracie Kirven for assisting during the competitive season.

BHS was excited to celebrate the accomplishments of the Spring 2025 Boys Soccer team by hanging their championship banner. Orion Ostheimer was recognized for being named the Gatorade Player of the Year. Coach Dick Edgcomb and his staff were named the 3A Coach of the Year. Congratulations to the team and their coaching staff.

Best of luck to our BHS Cheer Team as they attend the WHSAA State Spirit Competition. Let your hard work be shown in your performance today!!

Every year at the Wyoming Music Educators Association state conference, the various music districts nominate music educators who have taught 6 years or less, for the young music educator of the year award. At the 2025 conference, our very own Skyla Bree was nominated to be the northeast district young music educator of the year. Skyla was selected by the Northeast Music District from a pool nominees from our district that includes the towns of Sheridan, Gillette, Arvada/Clearmont, Upton, Hulett Moorcroft, Sundance, and Kaycee.
Skyla represented the Northeast District at the state level and was awarded a plaque and recognized at the conference banquet, Monday night. Congratulations Skyla for this amazing award.

The Purple Ribbon for the Expert Project is only awarded to the best in show for the presentation board. Only 20 were awarded this year. Congratulations Jerry brothers for two of these going to your household!

The Expert Project could not be done if it were not for the community members and alumni who make it possible. Thank you, Buffalo!

It is always fun to see what the BHS students decide to be experts on for the Expert Project, the semester final given by the English department. Students research, write a report, and give an informational presentation on their topic.

The BHS FBLA Chapter had the opportunity to get into the holiday spirit with their Santa Letters project with the kindergartners. The high school members partner with the kinders to write a letter to Santa. The high school students then write back as one of Santa’s elves. The FBLA goal is to promote positive behaviors in the return letter. From letter writing, recess together, writing back, and then the final readings, the project is loved by all!

Celebrating #CSEdWeek a week late—but the learning and excitement were right on time. Our Elevate Women in STEM students visited Meadowlark second grade classes to explore the basics of binary code. Second graders learned about bits, bytes, and binary, then crafted a binary candy cane with their initials to share with their families. A fun, hands-on way to spark curiosity and confidence in computer science at an early age.

Congratulations to these seniors in the Class of 2026 for being selected as the Rotary Students of the Month. These students were selected for modeling the Rotary's mission of 'Service Above Self.” September. Shannon and Titan. October. Joel and Brook. November. Kylie and Emily. December. Aubree and Kate. These students exemplify service above self, demonstrate honesty, high ethical standards, trustworthiness, integrity, self-discipline, responsibility and build goodwill and better friendships. Congratulations, Seniors!

BHS loved the opportunity to support our community! BHS raised approximately $1600 for the Red Bucket Challenge and donated 360 pounds of food for the Bread of Life food pantry.
