Fall Sports Night

Greetings,
I hope that your summer has been filled with relaxation and family time. I am your new principal and I can’t be more excited to work with the wonderful staff and students. For those who don’t already know me, here is a little back story.
I have been the Kaycee Principal for the past 5 years. Prior to my time in Kaycee, I was an Agriculture Teacher for 16 for Buffalo High School. I have had the privilege to lead our district at many different levels and represent our communities and students at the state and national level. When the opportunity arose to return to BHS and lead such an amazing school and be a part of such a supportive community, I could not pass up the chance to work with such a quality, hard working staff and talented set of students.
Our mission for JCSD#1: Empowering ALL students to thrive, is quite possibly the strongest most empowering mission that can be placed on a school. It speaks directly to the heart of what a school is and should be. Tied with our Vision: United in Cultivating Excellence, puts a focus on a joint effort between families and school. Your children are at the center of these two statements and it will be their hard work that represents our school.
Your children are the most important part of BHS and I am excited to meet and work with them. The positive experiences that our students receive during their K-12 education helps in sculpting them and their future. I thank you for your trust in our school to educate your child. I promise you it is a choice you will not regret. Through all of the opportunities in activities, sports to unique classes, our dedicated staff will make your child’s final 4 years of public education full of positive experiences. Please feel free to stop in and visit, my door is always open and I welcome the conversations.
Yours in Education,
Jake Evans, Buffalo High School Principal

With Fall sports starting five weeks from today, it is time for our student athletes to be thinking about getting their physicals. A new sports physical is required for each school year. Here are a couple of options!

Bison Families,
Don't forget to get a sports physical for your athlete. Here are 3 dates supported by the family medical center. Please remember all athletes will need sports physicals before the first practice.

Twenty of our BHS students had the opportunity to represent Buffalo High School and Wyoming at the National FBLA Conference in Anaheim. Congratulations to these students and their advisors, Kami Kennedy and Michelle Dahlberg.

Congratulations to these young ladies who had the opportunity to represent Buffalo High School st the Wyoming Girls State Convention.
The purpose of Girls State is to educate young women about the responsibilities of citizenship and to develop their leadership skills through a hands-on experience in mock government. These seniors had a great week!!

Happy Summer! Just a little information about our summer hours up here at BHS. There will not be any office help in the office on a regular basis for the month of July. If you need an immediate answer or help please call the administration office. If it is something that can wait you can email us and we will get back to you as soon as we can. We will be checking email and voice mails once a week while we are out. Thank you and enjoy your summer it is going fast!
