Engineering Design
Problem: When scientists walk around the
pond their legs get poked by sharp prickles.
Solution: We will make protective coverings for
their legs that mimic a plant or animals
protective covering.
In first grade we got to be engineers! We had to
work as a team to imagine, plan, create,
improve, and share a protective covering for
scientists working at a pond environment.
Jayden, Valerie, Ruby and Matthew’s covering mimics a turtle shell.
Halley, Reno, Timber, and Logan’s covering mimics the bark on a tree.
