April 10, 2020

Dear Parents/Guardians,

I want to thank all of the parents, students, and staff as we have our first official week of online learning completed.  As anticipated, there were a few hiccups, but for the most part it started well. During these times, I know it is difficult to be under more stress with the uncertainty of what is happening.  If problems come up, please communicate any issues students or parents might be having to staff so we can get the support needed. Working together will allow us to make the experience as tolerable as possible.  As of now, the district is taking the situation on a week by week basis. I have not heard or seen anything at this point to say the closure will last beyond May 3rd.  If any new information comes my way to state anything different, I will get that out as soon as possible.

The district is still serving the grab and go meals at Meadowlark and in Kaycee.  If any parents have been forced into unemployment during this time, we also want to encourage you that the Free & Reduced Applications can be completed at any time during the school year. If your financial situation has decreased during these unprecedented times, we invite you to complete the Free & Reduced application online on your PowerSchool Parent Portal OR contact Ricci Sanders at 307-620-9206 to make arrangements to pick up a hard copy. Your lunch status for the 2019-2020 school year will carry over 30 school days into the 2020-2021 school year. If you have any questions regarding the Free & Reduced Application please contact Ricci Sanders.

I hope and pray for everyone’s safety and good health during this time.  Please stay safe.

Sincerely,

Jim Wagner
