FLEXIBILITY – Be willing to do things differently 3rd: Esmeralda Garcia Nava-It is a privilege to acknowledge Esme for the Key of Flexibility. She demonstrates flexibility each day as she works hard to meet the many demands of third grade. While learning may not always come easily, she consistently shows determination, perseverance, and a willingness to grow all while putting forth her best effort. She transitions smoothly between teachers and subjects throughout the day, adapting to new expectations with ease. She works well with a variety of classmates, showing flexibility in her ability to collaborate, listen, and adjust to different ideas and personalities. What truly stands out is Esme’s consistently positive attitude. She approaches each day with a smile, stays open to learning, and keeps trying even when tasks feel challenging. She is always ready with the word, "Ok." Esme moves from learning task to learning task and works hard to accomplish her work. . Her optimistic mindset helps her push through difficulties and continue making progress. Beyond the classroom, she also shows flexibility in her home life. She is willing to help her parents whenever she can and adjusts to responsibilities with a positive and helpful attitude. Esme’s ability to remain flexible in her learning, relationships, and daily routines—both at school and at home—is truly admirable. She is a wonderful example of resilience, positivity, and what it means to never give up even if you have to change your original approach. 4th: Bay Davidson- It is my honor, as Bay’s fourth grade teacher, to present her with the Key of Flexibility—an award that perfectly captures who she is both in and out of the classroom. Flexibility is more than just going with the flow; it is the ability to adapt with grace, to remain steady in the face of challenge, and to meet the unexpected with courage and composure. Bay embodies all of these qualities in a way that is both remarkable and inspiring. Outside of school, Bay has already demonstrated a level of resilience that many adults strive to achieve. During her performance in The Wizard of Oz, when her microphone repeatedly malfunctioned, Bay could have easily become flustered or distracted. Instead, she remained calm, composed, and completely committed to her role. She never missed a beat. She continued performing with confidence and determination, showing incredible resolve under pressure. In that moment, Bay didn’t just handle adversity—she rose above it, truly exemplifying the spirit of flexibility. In the classroom, Bay brings that same steady presence every single day. Whether it’s a sudden schedule change, an unexpected shift in plans, or a last-minute adjustment to our routine, Bay meets it all with a positive attitude and a genuine smile. She doesn’t just accept change—she embraces it. Her calm and adaptable nature helps create a sense of stability for those around her. Bay also shows flexibility in how she works with others. She is willing to collaborate with anyone, regardless of personality or differences. She listens, she adjusts, and she finds ways to make every group stronger. Her leadership is quiet but powerful—she leads not by demanding attention, but by modeling kindness, patience, and openness. Because of her example, others in our classroom are learning to become more flexible too. Bay, your resilience, your grace under pressure, and your ability to balance so much with such a positive spirit make you truly deserving of this award. You remind us all that flexibility is not about giving in—it’s about rising up, adapting, and continuing forward with strength and heart. Congratulations on earning the Key of Flexibility. We are so proud of you. 5th: Jillian Sta. Maria- Jillian has earned the Key of Flexibility for the many ways she shows adaptability, cooperation, and quiet leadership each day. She approaches new situations with an open mind and a positive attitude, adjusting with ease when plans change or challenges arise. Jillian works well with any peer, demonstrating patience, kindness, and a willingness to collaborate no matter the group. Jillian also understands that flexibility means not getting stuck in just one way of doing things. When something isn’t working, she is willing to get help, try a different approach and keep trying until she finds what works best. Whether it’s adjusting her strategy on an assignment or finding a new way to solve a problem, she shows a strong ability to reflect, adapt, and grow. What truly sets Jillian apart is her quiet leadership. She leads by example—supporting others, and doing what is right without being prompted to do so or needing recognition. Her calm and flexibility helps create a positive environment for everyone around her. Jillian’s ability to go with the flow while still doing her best makes her a great role model in our classroom. Congratulations Jillian!
