Student's of the Month-Key of Ownership

OWNERSHIP – Take responsibility for actions

Be responsible for your thoughts, feelings, words, and actions. “Own” the choices you make and the results that follow.   Ownership is our willingness to take responsibility for the choices we make. When we take responsibility for our choices, others know they can count on us and we earn their respect.

Issac Kinner, 3rd grader - Isaac is a hardworking student and is one who will fix his mistakes without complaint. He takes responsibility for his actions whether good or bad, and is turning into a good leader in the classroom. Isaac is respectful, helpful, and always has a smile for teachers and peers alike. Being able to own his choices and lead by example are traits that make Isaac a great choice for the Key of Ownership.

Jameson Songer 4th grader -  A major key to having ownership is demonstrating an ability to take responsibility for your actions. Jameson is a perfect example of taking responsibility. We are all flawed creatures, and one thing I love about Jameson is his willingness to admit when he has made a mistake.  He has earned my ultimate respect as his teacher for his ability to take ownership when the need arises.  I don’t expect perfection from any of my students.  We all make mistakes. But Jameson is quicker than most to own his mistakes and take actions to insure they won’t happen again.  Jameson really lights up the classroom in a fantastic way. He is respectful and kind.  But, when he makes a mistake, he owns it, and learns from it. You can always count on Jameson. I am ULTRA proud to nominate Jameson for the Key of Ownership for the 2023-2024 school year.

Case Huntords, 5th grader - If you are looking for a dependable and hardworking student; Case is your person. He works hard in everything he does. Because of his outstanding work habits as a student, he is learning to preserve through struggles and not give up! On top of being a great student, Case is also a great person. He is friendly, kind, and always smiling. His hard work, passion for learning, & desire to do well is a great combination for success!
