Wyoming requires 13 credits for high school graduation: 4 credits in English language arts, 3 credits in math, 3 credits in science, and 3 credits in social studies. In addition to these 13 credits, New West High School requires 7 additional credits including 1 physical education credit, .5 personal finance credit, .5 self-improvement credit, and .5 career exploration credit.

At New West, we acknowledge the fact that learning is a personal journey. Students learn in different ways and at different paces, and we respect and support each individual’s learning process, while maintaining fidelity to state education standards.

We also believe in the value of creating connections between and among courses to the greatest extent possible. These connections correspond more closely with the type of learning that will be valuable for students outside of school and after graduation.
