Climate

Johnson County schools will provide a quality school culture and learning environment in which individuals feel emotionally and physically safe, and that enhances the development, learning, success, and achievement of the school community.

Johnson County Schools is committed to providing a quality school culture and learning environment in which individuals feel emotionally and physically safe, and that enhances the development, learning, success, and achievement of the school community. As such, the Board of Trustees adopted the National School Climate Council’s 12 Dimensions of School Climate as the framework for measuring and continuously improving. We administer the Comprehensive School Climate Inventory as a baseline measure of school climate. This baseline is then utilized to develop action steps and areas of improvement.
