All meetings will be held at the Administration Office unless otherwise noted. Board work sessions may be scheduled on the 4th Monday each month. Other meetings or work sessions will be called with proper notice to the public.
Board Goals
Well Being Goal: All JCSD1 schools will be safe and will support students’ growth in their overall well-being.
Objectives:
- Staff, parents and community collaborate to support a positive and safe school climate.
- Ensure all students’ physical, social, emotional, and nutritional needs are addressed.
- Establish communications with early childhood programs to assist and support kindergarten readiness.
Academic Goal: All JCSD1 students will achieve their academic growth targets.
Objectives:
- Implement curriculum consistency throughout the District with periodic review.
- Implement District collaborative teams to support student achievement.
- Implement systems of academic intervention and extensions of learning.
Graduation Goal: All JCSD1 students will graduate ready for college, career, and the workforce.
Objectives:
- By the end of 3rd grade and every consecutive year, all students’ reading levels will be assessed for the purpose of measuring future growth and monitoring progress with measurable goals.
- By the end of 8th grade, students’ math levels will be assessed for the purpose of measuring future growth and monitoring progress with measurable goals, and each student will be provided a recommended path for math success to graduation.
- Implement the science standards using a STEM framework.
- Beginning with the 9th grade year, all students will have completed a career inventory assessment and have an academic pathway to post-secondary success.
